DEFINITION

Phenomenological mechanics is a novel concept which examines the subjective experience of phenomena such as time, directional motion and related parameters in terms of the laws of mechanics which govern the behaviour of physical bodies in the natural world. This study applies the concept of phenomenological mechanics to examine and propose a model for the experience of directional motion in music, in terms of time and motion concepts from physics.
